Cloud Deployment Models & Their Benefits

Cloud is not a single term in I.T world; it is defined by its types. Before we discuss its types, we must know what cloud is. Many of us already using it without realizing it, if any of you have a Google account, you are already a member of public cloud. Public cloud is one of three types of Cloud storage i.e. Private Cloud and Hybrid Cloud. Understanding cloud computing is essential for anyone who is interested in enhancing data security and its capacity for his or her work place.

Cloud Deployment Models and Types are:

• defined by its users
• not defined by its cost, location and technology
• Storing and computing data are the basic examples of Cloud Types.

Before we move to further introduction to Cloud Deployment Models we must understand about the term ‘NIST’.

NIST is National Institute of Standards And Technology, to learn detailed specifics about Cloud, and the laws regarding data security, NIST created a publication where they defined cloud computing.

Let’s discuss cloud computing and its types:

Public Clouds:

This is most of the people think of when they think about cloud. Public cloud is created when host server rent storage to public. These tenants only pay for the services they actually used, and they are the perfect choice for hosting apps like HR, emails, CRM etc. for business. Drop Box is also an example of a public cloud.

Private Clouds:

Well it differs from Public cloud because a private cloud has only one tenant, you can get all the goodness of the cloud and you can control and customize it according to your needs. That is the reason many companies are migrating to private cloud. Private Cloud help’s companies publish their own unique apps like research and development, supply chain management and more.

Hybrid Clouds:

They are hybrid because they are the combination of Public and Private Clouds. You can avail benefits of both clouds through hybrid cloud, also provides ability to add innovative apps on certain demands. Like you upload on private cloud with the tuning like when the demand arises, it instantly gets on public cloud.
